We are expanding our IT team and looking for a skilled Business Application Specialist – Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to support and enhance our IT Applications & Business Solutions. In this exciting role, you will work closely with the Group Solution Owner for Idea to Market to implement and optimize end-to-end processes within the latest cloud-based version of Infor PLM for Process. You will be at the forefront of ensuring our complex solution environment aligns with business needs, helping shape our product lifecycle strategy and driving technological progress for a global food industry leader.

As a PLM Process Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in deriving and implementing key requirements to ensure our PLM solution meets user expectations and business needs. You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge business application projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the globe.


How you will spend your time as our next Business Application Specialist – PLM:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our Product Lifecycle Management system and aligning it with business requirements. You will manage system implementations, design enhancements, and support daily operations to ensure seamless functionality. Additionally, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, contributing to the successful execution of our product lifecycle strategies.

What you will do:

  • Ensure that the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution meets business needs and end-user requirements.
  • Identify and resolve system application issues, ensuring new software integrations meet functional requirements and system compliance.
  • Conduct impact analyses for monthly code release notes.
  • Assist in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for existing and new Infor PLM systems and modules.
  • Translate business requirements into working solutions, creating technical designs and configuration documents.
  • Provide daily business support and assist in managing the support unit.
  • Take ownership of deployment, design enhancements, and system configurations to improve the end-user experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that PLM solutions align with company goals and objectives.
  • Perform ongoing Application Management tasks, optimizing functionality and resolving system issues.

Job requirements

What we expect of you:

  • Solid business understanding and ability to build relationships between business and IT.
  • Proven experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, preferably with Infor PLM Optiva or similar systems such as Oracle Agile, Siemens Teamcenter, SAP PLM, Dassault Systèmes ENOVIA, or PTC Windchill.
  • Advanced knowledge of business process management, requirements definition, solution design, and testing.
  • Proven experience with PLM implementations, with preferred experience in Raw Material & Formulation Management.
  • Experience in a global manufacturing company; food industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, collaborative, matrix environment with virtual teams in a multi-cultural and geographically diverse setting.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the capacity for mature judgment in challenging situations.
  • A strong command of spoken and written English is essential; knowledge of German is a plus.

Valuable experience:

  • Knowledge of the latest cloud-based Infor PLM Optiva or similar PLM systems.
  • Familiarity with managing application support and maintenance in a global context.
  • Experience with software integration and validation processes within the food manufacturing industry.
